Life throws some pretty unusual experiences your way from time to time. It did that, when fate deemed it appropriate to
cast photographer Mark LaMonica into my midst. Through Mr. LaMonica’s work, I have found myself being transported
to magical places on a daily basis. By capturing a little slice of the passion he has for his art, and the depth of soul
within him, in every photo, he seemingly transforms the ordinary, into the extraordinary. Experiencing life through his
images is a journey of all that is beautiful and worthwhile in this world.

Ahhhh I have decided ….. the aspect I love most in your pictures is this amazing colour you achieve, it is mind blowing!

Kodak E100VS User Report

E100VS is part of the Kodak E Family transparency films.

Kodak introduced this film in 1998 and I started using it in 1999. With an RMS value of 11 I can say that on paper
that sounds high, but on the lightbox the images are clean and sharp.

This film incorporates T-Grain emulsion crystals for better reciprocity performance and Color Amplifying technology
for images that are full of accurate and saturated color. One greatest aspects of modern films is the refined
technology from over 100 years of developments. Purples are purple when captured with film, which is better than
the blue you get from some digital cameras that are unable to capture the true tonal range of subjects that are
primarily purple.

I used this film for everything from Architectural assignments to Wildlife and everyone who had the opportunity to
see original transparencies on a lightbox or in a few cases at the airport holding them up to a window, they were just
totally blown away by the color, excellent dynamic range and sharpness.

Since we are in a digital world, most clients no longer ask for the original to work from. The liability of having a
photographers original was a stressful liability and now they just ask for a high res scan saved as a TIFF file.

Scanning E100VS is straight forward with little to no adjustments needed during the scanning process which allows
me to batch scan images with the automated film feeder. Like my other user reports, I like to keep the text to a
minimum and provide visual sample images.
